A long trip from LV to LA

I drove to Los angle last Friday. I has a matter of a bank.
The destination was Diamond Bar, CA. Google map said there
was 250 miles far, 4 hours driving least. fortunately,I-15 and
CA 60 were simple routes. I filled my tank for $50 ,approx 15
Gallons gasoline. Then bought some snacks, toast, a jerky and
a bottle of root beer. I drove a van on the highway at noon.
It is fresh ,for my first visit LA.

Outbound LV, some casinos locate at Primm in desert like Buffalo
and Gold Strike. Crossing the border, a steep grade appeared.
My van ran heavily, I worried about that I can’t finish the trip;
even the van will be broken.I drove on slow vehicle lane.
After 10 minuets, there was downhill, I can speed on.

I keep my speed on the limit rate. Most on 70~75 MPH.
I traced some cars which were Nevada plates, I trust local
drivers who had experiences.

I found the funny thing out.An exit leads to “Zzyzx Rd.” I
though someone made a joke. When I approach Yermo,
there was a California Inspection Station. I felt nervous.
I passed it without check my driver license and passport.
I misunderstanded the Inspection was not a customs.

Another interesting conjunction was Ghosttown Rd. Sounds
like a scenic spot. Ran over mountains, follow I-15 about
240 miles and turned on the 60 route. I reach Diamond Bar.
It was 3:25 p.m. I was satisfied the total mileage was 243
miles.I saved 7 miles for fuel.

After banking. I went K-mart next the bank. Many funny toys
were in it. I pick up gift for my friend. I ate my dessert lunch
at 5:00 p.m.

I came back with sunset, I stopped many time for nature call
and load gas. I have been to Chino City, Ontario, Fontana,
and Baker. I drove 80 mph on highway. I still traced vehicles
which were from Nevada. I missed home while Luxor’s light bar
showed on the sky. Las Vegas was my familiar hometown.

The end of the trip was till 10:00 p.m. I had a half tank of gas.
I was sing on road and thinking. It was exciting and made me
impressed.
